About the School Windaroo Valley High is a co-educational State High School located in the northern end of the Gold Coast, Logan Albert Beaudesert Education District and South Coast Region and services the communities of Windaroo, Mt Warren Park, Edens Landing, Beenleigh, Cedar Creek, Ormeau and Logan Village. The community consists of both established residential areas and areas of rapid growth. Students come from various socio-economic backgrounds in suburban and rural communities. The school was established in 1994 and currently has approximately 1150 students in Years 8 - 12. Windaroo Valley High is a leading technology school which offers an innovative curriculum with a futures orientation. Information and visual technology are integrated across the entire curriculum. We cater for diversity through flexible curriculum delivery which enables students to achieve optimum outcomes in their participation at school. The school is located in a community with a long tradition of academic, cultural and sporting achievement. It serves the students well in nurturing opportunities for them to excel in each domain. Windaroo Valley High, in its short history, has had remarkable success in regional and State competitions. |
