Backlit rollover images

Backlit
Where the background is brighter than the subject, the photographer can use the Fill-in Flash setting to make the flash fire even when the camera "thinks" there is enough light. This burst of light works best when not too close to the subject, so step back a little and use the Tele-zoom feature.

 
Red-Eye Reduction
In low light conditions, the photographer can use the Red-eye Reduction flash mode to minimize the scarey red-eye effect you get when using the Auto-flash mode.

In strong sunlight, use a diffuser.
This apparatus is held to give shade to the subjects, creating a more even lighting that still has highlights and shadows.
