During year 12, the students get a visit from the fire department.
Students can get a certificate for using fire extinguishers. They get a go at putting out a gas fire and they also get to use the fire blanket to show how it is used.
This is very good experience for the students. They then know a lot more about how to put out all of the different fires, and being able to know which extinguisher is used with which type of fire.
