Chaplain

Our School Chaplain is Mr Alex Franco (or, as he likes to be called either "Big AL" or 'Chappy').

Alex has studied in His Bachelor of Ministry & Bachelor of Social Science (counselling), a range of youth related subjects in which he has intergraded with his practical experience
in serving youth & families for many years.
Alex and his wife Sue serve as lay ministers to the regional youth in their church the (new) Worldwide Church of God, as Youth leaders in the areas of Worship, Youth Care and
Development.

The School Chaplaincy Service is available to all Students, Staff and Families, regardless of beliefs or religion affiliation. It is Free, Confidential and sensitive to your concerns (as according to the Duty of Care policy).

Non-Judgemental Support can be offered in all situations of trauma, grief, anger management, stress, relationship / family needs, self development, life coaching and all issues related to personal faith / spirituality etc.

The School Chaplaincy also serves to promote a healthy community through pro-active nurturing events and programs.

Alex is able to liaise with other support agencies as well as school staff. This makes the chaplaincy service a good starting point when a problem arises, either at home or school.

Windaroo Valley High has a developing chaplaincy service operating in the school mainly on Tuesday & Thursdays for now and will be adding to the service, as funds from donations become available.

The chaplaincy service is funded most by the local churches, local business and by private donations (Tax Deductable) from parents and generous community members who believe in the needed service.
